There are a lot of activities that you and your best friend can do on a daily basis. What’s good about it is that you can both benefit from the exercise that you need. Dogs are very intelligent animals that are loved by people all over the world. These furry creatures are said to be man’s best friend since they are very loyal to their owners. Feeding these animals are not enough since they have needs like we, the humans do. That is why a lot of people take their dogs out for walks in the park, jogging, and some dog games that you and your dog can enjoy. These activities are very healthy not only for your pet but for you as well.

The first year for large dogs is fifteen years and seven years for smaller ones. For the consecutive years, it will only be seven years for both large and small dogs. That is why it is quite important for these furry creatures to have their dose of exercise in order to keep their body physically fit. You have to make time for your bonding moments with your pet. Treat them right and they’ll do the same to you and your family. A dog is not just a pet or friend but can be also a part of your family. There are some dog games that can be fun for you and your dog.

 

 

Frisbee catching or disc dog is a fun game that you and your dog can enjoy. The dog jumps when catching the disc thus getting a good workout.

 

Hiking is an activity in which you can share with your dog. Again, it gives the dog a good and healthy workout by means of walking.

 

Hunting is a very common pet and owner hobby or pastime. You shoot and the dog will bring you your prize. Retrievers are best suited for this particular activity.

 

Flyball is a fast paced game in which the dog can exercise focus, speed and is a great workout in which the dog can build the need for speed.

 

Herding is a sport in which you can see the dog’s instinct and desire to control the movement for the pack leader.

 

Fetch – some dogs are good fetchers while some are not. This is one of the most common games people and dogs play. Just make sure to teach the dog how to “drop it” first. Make sure that the dog will hand the toy to you and not drop it somewhere far. Be sure to reward the dog with a treat for every accomplishment they have.

 

Performance arts or tricks can be quite rewarding for the owner’s part. The dogs do what the owner trains them to do. This can also be rewarding for the dog literally. You just have to pull out your own bag of goodies for the mutt.
